My Story
My name is Landon, and I am a 15 year old boy who loves to play basketball. Growing up, I learned that good nutrition in childhood is incredibly important for growth , which in my case, is important because it is easier to compete in basketball when you are taller. My mom didn't realize how important drinking milk was when I was younger because she grew up in poverty without milk, and now this has made me think about the children like her in Vietnam who never had the opportunity to drink it. In many Vietnamese villages, children miss out on important nutrients that help support healthy bone growth and brain development. I started out giving milk and food to kids in temples and orphanages back in the 5th grade which led to me starting The Gift of Milk. My dream is to give children in Cà Mau, Vietnam the nutrition they deserve so they can grow up healthier, stronger, and have more opportunities. I hope that by providing something as simple as a box of milk, we can make a lasting impact in the lives of future generations.
